Do you want Bob in the debates?

August 27th, 2008 by Jason Pye

I’ve seen many comments over the last couple months complaining about the lack of contact information for the Commission on Presidential Debates. A colleague forwarded along the information to me this morning.

Please call the Commission on Presidential Debates at (202) 872-1020 and politely request that they include Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party nominee for president, in the presidential debates.

It is very important that you are professional, respectful and courteous when you call. Explain that Congressman Barr is having an impact in the election and that a recent Zogby poll found that 55% of voters want to include him in the debates. Also, express the importance of choice on the ballot and the need to present a view to voters that is different from the status-quo.

Thank you in advance.

I just called, too. The lady who answered the phone said “I appreciate your concern. I will definitely pass that on to my superior.”
From her mannerism on the phone (she was pleasant - it was just the tone that made me think this), it sounded almost like she had been receiving a LOT of calls. Hopefully, the folks answering the phone are at least keeping a daily tally of people calling in.

sorry.. but calling isn’t going to do squat. They’ll be able to ignore us and the public will never know about it. (I’ll call anyway.. just to hassle them..)

Bob ….. it’s going to take a protest outside their office. 1,000 - 5,000 angry folks marching up and down their sidewalk is the only thing that will publicly embarrass them enough to change their policy. It needs to happen soon. It needs to be loud, it needs to be in their face, and it needs to be publicized really well. If they’re going to ignore the independent voters then they need to be forced to show the American people that they are actively ignoring us.

I called them this morning and let them know that I feel their requirements are unfair and work against the freedom and choice that this country was founded on.

I was polite with them, and they returned the same respect to me. I really hope they include Bob Barr in the debates, and would even love to see Ralph Nader included as well. A four-way clash of different ideas and issues is definitely what this country needs, at the least!

Thanks for the phone number! I will pass this along to others and ask them to call the CPD as well!

Barr Could Substantially Improve Upon Paul’s Rhetoric, Appeal
    (Apollonian, 27 Aug 08)

I’m for Bob Barr–I was for Ron Paul (still am). But surely u realize the vote is so totally rigged/fixed. McCain is guaranteed to win, married as he is into criminal royalty, his wife daughter of Arizona criminal kingpin, Hensley, top lieutenant to Kemper Marley, close associate of Bronfmans and Meyer Lansky–see AmericanFreePress.net for expo/ref.

Hence then topmost significance of Bob Barr would be for information purposes by which he could inform folks–better than Ron Paul does/did–regarding the Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) WHICH IS SHEER COUNTERFEIT FRAUD–see RealityZone.com for expo/ref.

Ron Paul never “connected” with working-class types as he always kept things so “intellectual,” talking about “printing money” and “inflation”–which are mere abstractions which nine out of ten folks have greatest difficulty grasping. People need to be informed by means of CONCRETES, not intellectualistic abstractions.

For Fed is sheer, crass CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, pure and simple–no wonder 3,000 of our fellow citizens were so horribly mass-murdered on 9-11, and now over a MILLION poor Iraqis slaughtered, all due to criminal lies and conspiracy, including the controlled mass-media (see Natall.com, “Who Rules America?” for expo/ref. on Jew media conspiracy).

CONCLUSION: Thus Barr could steal a good deal of Paul’s “thunder” by elaborating and improving upon Paul’s rhetoric which was effective enough for college students, et al.; Barr now has a chance to appeal to working class in serious, substantial manner. Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian

LETTER FROM A BARRILLA IN ACTION

(This post will be cooler if you imagine it being read with an elegant Southern drawl)

    - 27th August, 2008

My dearest Lola, it has been merely three days since I entered combat, yet every moment apart from you has felt like an eternity. Thoughts of you are all that sustain me and give me the will to go on.

The battle in this Yankee stronghold called Philadelphia is far greater a challenge than I imagined it to be. When I first volunteered my services as a soldier to spread the message of Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr, or “Barrilla”, as we’ve come to call ourselves, I assumed that many I’d meet would gladly stop and take a moment to learn about his policies. Sadly, the situation is dire.

I pass through these streets with pamphlets and flyers, offering them to the masses who yearn for freedom from the two-party system that has oppressed them for so long. But far too many times my gifts have been refused without a second thought. Here we are not called “Barrillas”; we are spurned and ridiculed as “dirty rebels” and “capitalist tools” by the damned forces of the far left and radical right. We are pariahs.

Yet though the opposition is great, there are signs of success. Just this day I came across two men in uniform, security officers for Penn University, bemoaning the state of our nation and economy. I extended my hand in friendship and offered them pamphlets. To my delight, they gladly accepted them and read of our glorious commander’s policies, and they approved. I cannot express the joy that swelled up within me when I heard one of these brave men proclaim, “I can’t stand Obama or McCain. I’m gonna vote for Bob Barr to spite those two c**ksuckers.” A small victory, but a victory nonetheless.

I ask that you will keep me in your prayers during the remainder of my time in combat. The next two months will be grueling and taxing on my frail body. But I shall press on and spread the word that there is a candidate who will drive a steak through the black heart of the tyrannical Patriot Act, who will work to expand the free market in order to bolster the nation’s economy, and who will defend our Constitutional rights.

God be with you, my dear. God be with you and all the people of our country.

    Your eternal soldier for liberty,
    James

I just called and was directed to http://www.debate.org. The person I spoke with was polite but had no information other than the web URL. The paragraph that applied is below:

“In connection with the 2008 general election, the CPD will apply three criteria to each declared candidate to determine whether that candidate qualifies for inclusion in one or more of the CPD’s debates. The criteria are (1) constitutional eligibility, (2) ballot access, and (3) electoral support. All three criteria must be satisfied before a candidate will be invited to debate.”

With the contoversy over Obamas birth place being in Kenya and a forged Birth Certificate from Hawaii, the debate criteria would be void if Obama was born in Kenya. His birthplace must be made public and confirmed.

I read the URL http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html The people checking the facts did not go to Hawaii personally and get copies of the Original Long Form which has the exact information of places and other factual pertinent information. They only accepted the Short Condensed Version of the birth certificate.

Why doesn’t someone clear this up with the Original Documentation not just the short version? The Factcheck people dropped the ball and are leaving open questions. The State Dept may have also dropped the ball.

The following is an excerpt from the Factcheck site:
The document is a “certification of birth,” also known as a short-form birth certificate. The long form is drawn up by the hospital and includes additional information such as birth weight and parents’ hometowns. The short form is printed by the state and draws from a database with fewer details. The Hawaii Department of Health’s birth record request form does not give the option to request a photocopy of your long-form birth certificate, but their short form has enough information to be acceptable to the State Department. We tried to ask the Hawaii DOH why they only offer the short form, among other questions, but they have not given a response.

A half fact, is a half truth, and that could very well equal a complete lie.
I’d sure like to know the whole real truth.

My understanding is that the CPD is a corporation controlled by the D and R parties. They have no incentive to respond to the desires of the voters. Calling them seems pointless.

But they need the networks to televise their debates and the networks want to sell advertising. Seems to me that we should be calling the networks who will televise the debates and telling them that we aren’t interested in watching a staged infomercial, but would definitely tune into a real debate that included other parties.

I agree, this blog is not the proper arena for discussions about conspiracies. By the way, 99.99% of Libertarians are not crack-pot conspiracy theorists. Additionally, belief in a conspiracy doesn’t in-and-of itself make a person a nut or a crack-pot, especially when there is clear and present evidence to support it. By the way, the word “theory” implies lack of evidence. Once you have evidence “theory” turns into “possibility.” and eventually as more evidence is gathered it becomes “probability.” Anyway, I digress, there are conspiracies that I myself give credence to, but I won’t discuss them here, that’s what MySpace blogs are for.

  29. apollonian Says:

Libertarians Should Value Truth, Hence Facts, And Premises For Conclusions
    (Apollonian, 27 Aug 08)

“Luke,” at 2:44 pm, note Christian New Testament is all about Conspiracy, which conspiracy murdered Christ no less, foremost defender of TRUTH, according to New Testament (NT) literature and Gosp. JOHN. The Federal Reserve Bank is a counterfeiting conspiracy by definition (see above cite).

Entire problem is we have a government bought, financed, and controlled by these counterfeiters, conspirators, and criminals. Ck TheNewAmerican.com for expo/ref. on CFR-Bilderberg conspiracy.

Note David Rockefeller, founder of Trilateral conspiracy ADMITS explicitly to such conspiracy in his memoirs (sorry, I don’t have a cite right off-hand, but ck TheNewAmerican.com search engine, and u’ll surely find it pretty quick). Entire purpose of government is to PROTECT THE PEOPLE FM CONSPIRACY.

Observe criminals acting only by themselves wouldn’t be nearly as dangerous as conspiracies which are criminals acting in collusion

I like the “razorback fan” at 2:55 pm above, who, in his short post talks at one and same time about “freedom” and censorship disguised as “moderation.” “Razorback” doesn’t say whether he ck’d the citation I gave for Jew media conspiracy. It’s “razorback fan” who hates truth, which truth is always hated by criminals who are exposed by truth.

For Jews are legitimate topic of concerned political discussion in view of the incredible conspiracy of “neo-cons” who are practically all Jews loyal to Israel and connected with aforementioned CFR-Bilderberg conspiracy. Note again, only legitimate question now is whether these are actual facts which can be verified; I give most excellent citations/ref.s, don’t doubt.

Then there’s the AIPAC spying and bribery/extortion operation being run by Jews, Jews in foremost gov. “gate-keeping” positions, as Sec. of Homeland Security, Chertoff, who sent the Israeli spys back to Israel, who were caught harassing DEA people among other illegal activity. Jew Mukasey, the AG, is yet another prominent Jew “gate-keeper.”

Note Jews are by definition Talmudists, which Talmud encourages Jews lying to and cheating gentiles, Talmud asserting Jesus Christ was rightfully executed for blasphemy and heresy, who was illegitimate offspring of a harlot who mated with Roman centurian named Pantera. See RevisionistHistory.org, TruthTellers.org, and Come-and-hear.com for best Talmudic expo.

Jews dominate and control organized crime according to Mike Collins Piper in “The New Jerusalem,” and who writes for TheFreeAmerican.net. Note these pertinent facts I herewith proffer are all verifiable.

So I think we should never hesitate to discuss these important topics, especially as discussion is informed with valid premises and references given as I do so carefully.

Unfortunately as Jews are so powerful, esp. in the Fed counterfeit agency, they essentially control the funding for all the top political parties, including Libertarians, I’m afraid, and they’ll bring the usual pressure to bear for censorship of these blogs.

And don’t forget Jews control the electronic vote-machine companies like Diebold and the others too–see Judicial-inc.biz, also BlackBoxVoting.org and BlackBoxVoting.com. Jews are a huge socio-political problem–again ck out the Talmud, their definitive battle-plan. The truth should be respected, and hence those truly interested should ck the ref.s I give.

CONCLUSION: “Razorback fan” hates the truth and is no fan of freedom or freedom of expression, true libertarians may be sure and be warned. Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian

apollonian, wow! You have no idea how funny your response is to me. I was going to write this sarcastic comment earlier related to the Bilderbergers, but you did the work for me! You know, I was watching a Glenn Beck interview with Penn Gillette (a Libertarian), and Beck’s concern was that he thought about 10% of Libertarians were completely bonkers, to which Penn basically shrugged. I guess I just need to “shrug off” the crazy conspiracy nuts and realize they’re irrational and small enough in number to make any real difference in the party anyhow.

Most Effective Political Rhetoric Is CONCRETE (Not Abstract)
    (Apollonian, 28 Aug 08)

Luke, 8:28 am above, the simple pt. to “conspiracy,” as to anything else, is simply facts, logic, and scholarly-type references/citations, so people can ck for themselves. TheNewAmerican.com is outstanding source for conspiracy exposition, facts, and numerous references.

Note people, like Glen Beck, et al., who get on big Jew media are paid and selected to disparage the real truth-tellers who expose conspiracy–as surely even a lightweight like urself could figure out.

Most of all though, don’t underestimate that crux COUNTERFEIT machine/operation which is Federal Reserve Bank (Fed); its control and dominance is absolutely overwhelming. Imagine ur own power if u had exclusive right to literally counterfeit the money supply of a given nation and empire. U would, after awhile, control EVERYTHING, media, corporations, all public and most private education, u’d control all the politicians, hence the bureaucracy, the judges, the police, etc. Of course, in the end, all such counterfeit scams have to end–but look at the present system which has incredibly endured now for 95 solid yrs, no less.

Thus the only problem w. dear Ron Paul, as I noted above, is he keeps things so intellectual and doesn’t emphasize simple, CONCRETE criminality of the Fed conspiracy which, again, is sheer COUNTERFEITING, nothing else, nothing less.

CONCLUSION: Bob Barr is just as articulate as Paul, though, I’m happy to observe; he could improve upon Paul if he merely only converted rhetoric to more concrete-oriented for working-class type folk. Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian

  52. Mom in Michigan Says:

JR, Homeschooling never used to be a factor in my decisions for who to vote for but now that I am seeing more and more states trying to make homeschooling more restrictive I have found it more important to know where the candidate stands on homeschooling. I do not think homeschooling is for everyone but I get deeply concerned that one day that right will be taken away from me by people who think they know what is best for my kids better than I do. That has been one thing that appeals to me with the libertarian party.

I still have some issues that I wish I could get a better understanding on. I am a self-employed mom of four and the one thing that attracted me to Hillary was her plans to improve health insurance. If you have never been self employed you just don’t know how bad the options are. I do not really agree with socialized medicine but I would like somebody to work on addressing things like portability, affordability, and pre-existing conditions. HIPAA has helped but it really hasn’t helped me much.

  53. Elliott Says:

Signed all three petitions; made the call.

Adopting an innocent tone, I asked the woman who took my call whether others were calling on the subject–she said yes, and that she was keeping a log. I think questioning whether our effort is “enough” is secondary to the simple act of doing something. Our opinion is definitely being registered.

Mom in Michigan: When it’s time to climb out of the trench onto the battlefield, _everyone’s_ hand shakes. Your post was inspirational.

  54. David K.Meller Says:

Having Barr in the Presidential debates would indeed be wonderful -IF-he is given a fair chance to be heard! Remember how Ron Paul was mistreated and ;deliberately ignored in the Republican debates during the primary season. There should be safeguards against Mr.O and Mr McC hogging Barr’s time.

I have no doubt that if Bob Barr is given a fair and equal chance to be heard, there will be a notable effect on this election, and future ones as well, especially since it seems that both the party of O and the one of McC have seen much better days. The days of their mutual misgovernment and overgovernment are numbered!

    PEACE AND FREEDOM!!

Awesome! I signed two of the petitions and have the number on my cell so I can call as soon as I get off work! Let’s do this not only for Barr, but so that the American people can hear a voice of reason!

The media “heads” are quite fearful that the general public will wake up and start thinking for themselves. When this time arrives we will no longer be controlled, but will actually determine our own destiny!
