Respect and fighting are misspelled in the large quote on the cover page. Heart should be hearts.
Bob Barr has proven he is the leader Americans need to restore THE confidence of the American people in the future of their nation.

I like the way it looks, and the way it doesn’t dance around the harsh truths involved with several of the issues.

Sweet, now we got physical stuff to hand out instead of trying to rely on word of mouth alone. I likes. I likes a lot.
Plus, it’s pretty cool lookin’ too. Aside from the small typos I see, big ups to the guy who worked on it. Nice job.

I see they fixed the typos, good to know they are checking the responses regularly. Now to take this to kinkos and mass produce

Looks like respect and fighting were fixed, but heart still needs to be changed to hearts — please correct so we can print some up for an upcoming county fair.

This is great! Print them out; fold them up, and leave them everywhere you go! We want to make Barr a household name, and if the media won’t do it, we can. Leave some on the table at restaurants when you leave your tip. Leave some on shelves in grocery stores. If you use a public restroom, lay some on the sink counter. If your company doesn’t have policies against it, leave some in the breakroom. When you get bills, they’re always full of advertisements. Return the favor and put a Bob Barr brochure in with your payment. Send one to everyone in your address book. Just scatter a few about wherever you go. Sure, some may get thrown away, but many won’t. SPREAD THE NEWS!

Martin: Great job on the brochures! Thank you! HQ is doing a really good job of responding to what we need to help out with the campaign.
And Heather, thanks for so many ideas about how to distribute them!

Why doesn’t the Barr Campaign create some screen savers or computer wallpaper designs?

Can you find 2 pictures of a smiling Bob to add to the brochure?
To succeed, our marketing has to be as good as our ideas.

The energy section reads as if removing the regulations will increase prices.
Otherwise, I’m liking it.

Guys, let’s get Bob Barr on Lou Dobbs. This could be a tremendous boost. Email Lou Dobbs, politely of course, till he invites our candidate.

This is a great start. I’d like to see more specifics on some of these things, perhaps in the form of “slim jim” push cards. Health care is a great example. Most people think we already have a free market, so we need to explain what specific steps can be taken to free up the market and how this will actually benefit people.
I found that to be a flaw in Ron Paul’s approach, that he talked always in terms of big picture philosophy without putting real meat on the bones. We need to do better in this regard. Of course, McBama have meat in some area, but neither of them have the “bones” (any coherent underlying philosophy). Let’s have both.

I just printed out 20 copies and folded them myself to give out to people! This is easy! Everyone do it!

Fantastic. I’ve been wanting something tangible to mail and give to people. This is how we get the remaing 4-5% points to be included in the debates. We can do that with the “ground war” of brochures, to prepare for the “air war” of TV commercials once funding starts flowing…after Bob cleans up during the debates.
But first we need to get the word out to get to that magic 10%.
I agree with Chuck. I would like to see the national campaign continue to design materials, push cards would be perfect, so that message stays consistent. We had some problems with that in a primary campaign I worked with earlier this year, with individual groups whipping off a handout that didn’t quite say it right.
Good job! Keep’em coming, and keep putting the meat on the bones!

1. The pamphlet is a great idea, looks great, and will help tremendously. Keep things like this coming.
2. The new issues page is fantastic. This gives anyone that comes to this site a clear picture of where Bob Barr stands. Thank you for addressing this!
3. This has been a great month already for this campaign and we need to continue to build momentum. Keep up the good work!

Another typo: In the “Second Amendment” section, “sportsman” should be “sportsmen.”
It is always a good idea to get a second (or third or fourth) set of eyes to proofread these things. Professionalism is critical. If you need help, I’m sure many of us would be glad to volunteer our services.
Good start, though! Keep this stuff coming.

I also appreciate the new Issues page.
War On Drugs needs to be in there somewhere, though… I’m not finding anything on this (or medical marijuana…)… perhaps I’m missing it?
July 16th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
Sweet, Thanks!! Now that’s what I’m talking about!
Ditto on the push cards for the meat and potatoes for specific issues. Those are perfect for putting on cars in parking lots at shopping malls and churches.
Keep ‘em coming!!

Some people have expressed their wonder however, as to why the name of the party is no where on the materials? But then again, looking at Obama and McCain stuff, I don’t see their party names either. Perhaps though the Statue of Liberty graphic could appear occasionally? (party logos do appear on some other campaign material from the D & R’s)

I just had to search and search until I re-found the post for the brochure (and the link to get to it). This is such a valuable tool, could we at least have a small button or something on the home page for easy access?
July 21st, 2008 at 11:30 pm
I agree. I looked in the store to buy slim-jims, but did not find any. It was only through a search engine was I able to find this tri-fold.
How about a link from the store?: “Looking for slim jims? Will be available soon, in the mean time please visit this page to print your own.”
Or something to that effect…
