    Hello everyone,

I was just looking through Bob Barr’s site — for the first time. I would really like to know his views on amnesty. I was initially a huge Romney supporter, but now, we’re stuck with McCain. Bob Barr sounds like a better alternate, and I wouldn’t mind going all out campaigning for him. Any reply will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Really good news that the Barr store is open for business! Thank you HQ! You did a great job of getting that up and running for us!

The only other item I would like to see are rolls of
Barr 2008 stickers that I can put on the back of every piece of mail I send out and also hand out to everyone when I talk with them about Bob.

Bob Barr is not for amnesty. That is one reason I am voteing for him.

P.S Everyone try and tell people who play World of Warcraft and other computer games about Bob Barr. Most of them are Ron Paul supporters that gave up hope, but once you tell them about Barr they help and spread the word fast. I have talked to about 20 some in the pass day.

Patrick: It says at the store site that purchases do count as campaign contributions.

The yard signs are pitiful. Nowhere do they say anything about him being a candidate for president. Nowhere do they say anything about the Libertarian Party. Most people have never heard of him and never will from the old-stream news media, so the signs and every other promotional product need to have something like “Candidate for President” or “Libertarian Candidate for President.” I’d like to buy some signs if they had a message that meant something to people who don’t know about him

These changes I’ve suggested need to be a campaign priority.

Agreed, the signs suck. They don’t say anything about the office or the party. The main purpose of having an LP candidate for president is to grow the party. Advertising the party name with the candidate if essential to this process. Also, the prices are RIDICULOUS. Here is a tip for everyone; do a yahoo or google search for yard signs, find a cheap producer, and get your own made. If you shop around you can get 100 signs for $250 or so. This is a much better deal and allows you to control the content. Just be sure to include in the small print at the bottom the words - Paid for by friends of bob barr.

Those lawn sign prices do seem steep. They must be trying to drum up extra donation money is all I can come up with. The bumper magnets (’cause I don’t stick things to my car) are $45….? It’d be nice to hear their thinking on that.

I do disagree about whether it should say ‘candidate for president’ and ‘libertarian party’. What you really need to convey is Bob’s name. Think about it. People are going to be going at LEAST 15 mph going by…probably faster (my neighborhood is 25 and a some go 40). That gives them just a few seconds to notice, read and comprehend what they saw. You can’t effectively put a lot on there. If they can retain his name, they can find out the rest.

Here’s an example: Which is going to get more traffic to your yard sale?

    Yard Sale
    Saturday April 8
    8 to Noon
    6113 Blackberry Lane

    or

    Yard Sale
    Today
    <——

PS - It’s good to see at least one thing (unfortunately only one) with Wayne’s name on it as well.

Right. I’d like to blanket my car with the magnetic signs but they are SO EXPENSIVE. I’ll have to look for an alternative.

I think the store is off to a good start and we’re told that more items will be coming (don’t forget those rolls of stickers!).

I’d contact the campaign with your suggestions of specific wording if you want signs that have other information on them.

I’m sure you can always get things cheaper, but I didn’t see any problem with the yard sign prices. McCain is charging 10.00 and ours are 12.00 (11.00 if you are buying 10 or more). If the extra 1.00-2.00 helps support campaign fundraising, I am all for it.

The important thing, no matter how it is done, is to get Bob’s name out there - everywhere!

We’ve been given access to some great tools over the past few days: the items in the store, the updated issues page and the the trifold brochure.

This website is impressive (and easy to navigate!)/it is not cluttered and overwhelming like some of the sites).

The blog has gotten more active and there are lots of ideas and resources showing up every day. I love the initiative folks here take with moving this campaign forward. I come here every day for ideas about what I can be doing.

Bob is certainly doing his part!

This is one of the most exciting campaigns in my lifetime!
