Gura’s Choice for President? Bob Barr

July 2nd, 2008 by Shana Kluck

Riding high on his recent win before the Supreme Court, attorney Alan Gura took the time to volunteer his opinion about the best choice for the President’s race-

A television to his right displayed an interview with Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., who responded to the decision with a vague nod to both an individual right to bear arms and the government’s right to regulate it. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., praised all four corners of the opinion.

“To be honest, I don’t really like either of them,” Gura volunteered.

His choice for president: Libertarian Bob Barr.

Not surprising considering Congressman Barr’s lifelong commitment to upholding the 2nd Amendment and his position on the NRA Board of Directors.  Barr also showed strong approval for the Supreme Court’s overturning of the DC gun ban in the Heller case. (Watch the video of Bob talking about the recent ruling.)

I propose an internet infiltration of the grandest scale. Log onto the websites of the evil duo and start posting messages giving the facts of why they are not right for America. You can Google all of the information you will need. Get a message in anyway you can. I guarantee that people will start doing thier own research and might even change their mind. the message is simple and easy to understand. In fact, I believe this is one of the only parties where integrity with the issues still stands

There are so many Americans from all walks of life who have had enough of the two party system, big government, etc. If Bob Barr’s message can reach these people I know it will resonate with them and it may well be the election that ends the two party system and puts our country back on the right track. We need to do everything possible to reach out to people and let them know that there IS another choice and its not too late to save our country.

The Internet is one of the best tools we have to reach voters with Bob’s message and to fundraise.

I now regularly mention Bob any of the places I blog and I leave the address for this site.

Does anyone know if there is a NASCAR fans for Bob Barr group?
I’m looking to join if there is/I think this kind of group could quickly spread Bob’s message arross the country and be an active fundraising vehicle. Remember , NASCAR put 100,000-200,000 people in the seats EVERY weekend - 36 weeks a year!

It’s a ready made audience and group for Bob!

Interesting about Gura. The Supreme Court decision is in the right direction. Now I hope there is a bright young lawyer of Gura’s type who can challenge the legality of the 16th amendment (was it properly ratified?).
